Note on Game 5 of the Rockets-Jazz Series:
I was impressed by the Rockets performance tonight, most notably, Tracy McGrady. They played with a lot of intensity and heart. The Rockets still gave up a lot of offensive rebounds and second chance points, but they made key shots, hit most of their free throws tonight, and played suffocating defense. They held the Jazz to 69 points. But, more importantly, T-Mac was excellent offensively at the vital points of the game. He was there when the team needed a score and he provided a sense of leadership when Utah tried to spark a run. Luis Scola was also impressive with a double double, and he helped keep Carlos Boozer in line. Over all it was a great team effort. The only question is: Can they replicate this same performance for game 6?. They are going to have to. Just as they did tonight, the Rockets need to continue the with the stifling defense and hit their shots at the same time. They need to get T-Mac involved early and often and allow him to lead the team. Moreover, T-Mac needs to take control during crucial parts of the game and make his free throws. Finally, they got away with it tonight, but if they continue to let Utah rule the offensive boards and second chance points, this series will end in Utah. GO ROCKETS!!!!!
